Steve Pakradooni for NJ Senate LD4
I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 55 years ago. I was raised by my mother who taught me to work hard for what I wanted, and nothing was given for free. She instilled strong family values and work ethics, taught me to respect our freedoms and privileges, to respect our country and democracy, and be grateful to live in this land of opportunity. My great-grandparents immigrated to the United States over 100 years ago. I am proud of my Italian-Armenian heritage. My grandparents helped raise me and were first-generation hard-working Americans who owned a small grocery store in South Philadelphia where I spent many days helping as a young boy.
I graduated from Saint John Neumann High School in South Philadelphia. I knew early on that I wanted to enter the trades rather than attend college like many of my friends. I earned my degree in Automotive Technology in 1985. I strongly support jobs and higher education in the trades as an option to a four-year college.

I am an entrepreneur; I started my first auto repair business at the age of 22 in South Philadelphia. I am currently President and CEO of a full-service automotive repair business here in South Jersey. In addition to providing leadership and technical interpretation to my team of technicians, I participate in continual improvement and professional development to help maintain a competitive advantage and knowledge about current advances in automotive technologies. I feel continuing education in all fields is important to success.
I moved to New Jersey when I met my wife Gina back in 1998. We have lived in both Camden County and Gloucester County. Today we call Washington Township, New Jersey home where we live with our son Stephen and dog Stella. I love to be involved with my sons’ activities and on Friday nights during high school football season you can find me announcing at my son’s football games! My family is the reason I got involved in politics and what drives me every day.
“My story is simple, I am fighting for New Jersey so I can stay in a state I love.”
I threw my hat into the political ring in 2019, running for State Assembly (LD4). What prompted me to do so was simple: to fight to make New Jersey more affordable so that my family can stay in New Jersey, after retirement. Our cost-of-living expenses in New Jersey keep climbing, they never go down; from property taxes, utility costs, gasoline costs, toll costs, and so on. We need to strengthen the checks and balances at the State level. We need to sharpen the pencil and spend less but do more with less in Trenton. My story is simple, I am fighting for New Jersey so I can stay in a state I love.
As your State Senator (LD4), my focus, goal, and plan are the same, to make New Jersey affordable again, both for residents and businesses. If you are a resident of Camden County in Clementon, Chesilhurst, Gloucester Township, Laurel Springs, Lindenwold, and Winslow Township, or if you are a resident of Monroe Township / Williamstown, Pitman, and Washington Township in Gloucester County, let me be your South Jersey voice in Trenton. Get involved, volunteer, and on November 2nd get out and vote for Steve Pakradooni for State Senate (LD4).
